Very very cool! I need all the video of crawling that I can, since I live in the middle of nowhere. I, myself, have yet to see any local crawlers for the last two years since I first started this. So footage like this is welcome. Just wanted to mention a dvd that I got. It was part of an offer from Radio Race Car International magazine. They have what I called the latest "rc crawler bible". It is aptly titled Rock Crawling Special: The Essential Guide to RC Rock Crawling. The dvd covers the whole crawler scene and gives us competition coverage at the end. The best coverage I've seen so far.

Does anyone know where to go for more dvds on rc crawling?

Happy Transgender Day of Rememberance, everybody!

It is sad that it is a day of rememberance, but we are remembering those who have lost their lives to be treated as the man or woman they truly are.

Book: Breaking Dawn. Everything works out perfectly :) well, almost perfectly... (i'm Team Cullen/Edward, so you can probably figure out why).

Movie: Eclipse so far. Purely because New Moon has too much Jacob for my liking and I personally think Catherine Hardwicke didn't do a very good job on Twilight

Okay so we are three weeks away from Hamilton Pride 2010. The QSCC has procured a table and tent this year. We are looking forward to three days of socializing networking and above all else fun. We also want to make this one of our best years at pride. We are hoping to create a banner and have some type of small hand o...ut detailing what we offer and our intents over the coming year. Towards that end, we are looking for input on all of this.
So
- What should be on the hand out/pamphlet?
- What should we list as out offeringsWhat intents should we advertise
- What other ideas do you have...Let us know
Reply either to this message or email the center directly
Cheers

Dimoxyel,
Howdy! Sorry about the massive-long delay--I'm the 2010-2011 Coordinator--my name's Tabi and it is super spiffy to meet you!
As regards the Welcome Week Reps, those are going up sometime in the next week, once I can figure out what the application should look like. Expect to see something late this week or early next (at this point, I'm thinking the main criteria is 'spirit', so don't worry, I won't make any of the applicants jump through burning hoops--unless you'd like to, in which case, I'd love to watch!)
Can't wait to get your application--start planning ideas and such now!

In short:
1) When do we apply?
Soon!

2) How do we apply?
Apps will be online, probably posted here and on the Facebook QSCC page, and emailed directly to my inbox (email addy will be included in the application package, so no worries). Interviews if they happen will be in person, and you'll be informed of when once I get the full contingent of apps!

3) What are our WW duties, besides general running around and spreading the QSCC awareness/love?
There's a tricky one: I'd like to have us be involved, but the chances of that depend on the First Year Experience Office and their rules. At the minimum, we'll be hitting up Clubsfest and tabling there. I've also got some 'cool down' ideas in the works, involving maybe squirt guns and a polite "Would you like to cool down?" beforehand. Move in day has potential, as does general support work. I'm trying to see what we can do--and if there's not a lot, don't dispair! Our WW reps can always help out at events later on in the year--like, say, Homecoming and Mac Pride! There's always something to do. We're like the maroons, we never quit!

Blurt: Survived two tests in one day! And think I did respectably well on them!

The only problem is that I am now much too dead tired to go to the gym. Seriously considering just going to bed right now, but I already skipped two workouts since my last one, and I don't want to get into the habit. You don't lose ten pounds by sitting at a desk all day... Unless you don't eat. Which I do.

Blackened - I agree with Kanese. I mean, telling my closest group of friends was fine, because half of them were already out. But telling anyone else was more difficult. Don't push yourself too hard. It's a big jump to do it all at once, so just take it step by step.

My New Years Resolutions:

Stop biting my nails and just relax already

To Blackenedbutterfly: Coming out is such a personal thing to do, don't be so hard on yourself. You're not a wuss for not coming out, everyone has difficulties with it. If I may offer some advice: find a couple of people whom you can trust and who you know will accept and support you. Once you come out to them you will have support and the knowledge that you are accepted, and hopefully that will make coming out to others much easier!

Its a new year! Let's all post resolutions and whatnot!

I don't have any particular New Years resolutions per say, but I have definitely resolved to do better in my classes this year... AKA not fail two courses >_> Oops

Also I am secretly resolving to visit the QSCC office more often, though I don't know how well that'll work once my workload kicks back in =D

Haha, well, my days range between 'often' to 'a lot'. I try to come in as much as possible, you all are awesome :3

wait wait

I slept on the couch, even if only for a few minutes, the other day. Have yet to spend an entire day here though :D
