thanks you two :)

I guess I want to pass, or at least believe I can be viewed in that light, if/when I come out.

Though it's been made painfully obvious that I'm a pretty harsh critic of myself, I'd probably like to take back a few things I said up before, because some of it's just me being stupid :P

Well I have to make a start somewhere, right?

Hi, my name is Raven and I'm a transwoman, and I like girls.

I patiently await news on the subject, but none has been provided thus far, and there is already talk of residence WW rep positions! So in case I'm missing something that came up somewhere else...

1) When do we apply?
2) How do we apply?
3) What are our WW duties, besides general running around and spreading the QSCC awareness/love?

Blurt: Survived two tests in one day! And think I did respectably well on them!

The only problem is that I am now much too dead tired to go to the gym. Seriously considering just going to bed right now, but I already skipped two workouts since my last one, and I don't want to get into the habit. You don't lose ten pounds by sitting at a desk all day... Unless you don't eat. Which I do.

Blackened - I agree with Kanese. I mean, telling my closest group of friends was fine, because half of them were already out. But telling anyone else was more difficult. Don't push yourself too hard. It's a big jump to do it all at once, so just take it step by step.

My New Years Resolutions:

Stop biting my nails and just relax already

To Blackenedbutterfly: Coming out is such a personal thing to do, don't be so hard on yourself. You're not a wuss for not coming out, everyone has difficulties with it. If I may offer some advice: find a couple of people whom you can trust and who you know will accept and support you. Once you come out to them you will have support and the knowledge that you are accepted, and hopefully that will make coming out to others much easier!

Then move on to not being a jerk and saying mean things to people.
Lastly I need to actually come out o_o and stop being a wuss

I don't have any particular New Years resolutions per say, but I have definitely resolved to do better in my classes this year... AKA not fail two courses >_> Oops

Also I am secretly resolving to visit the QSCC office more often, though I don't know how well that'll work once my workload kicks back in =D

I've heard good things about the Well support group, it is kind of funny that they meet around the same time (I guess it's just a good time for people to meet?).

As for what constitutes a lot...there is a grading system:

Occasionally- you come in a few times a month
Often-You come in at least once a week, sometimes more
A Bunch- You're there every day
A Lot- You're there every day, for more than two hours
Excessively, to the point of Awkward- You've slept on the couch and spent entire days within our walls.

...I fall under the 'Excessive' category. Not sure what that says about me...

I actually just looked at the times for the support group and it's funny 'cause the other peer support group I used to go to meets on wednesdays around the same time (however there's no point in me going to that one as

It's not that there are no people on campus who identify as trans, it's more like they may not feel comfortable coming to the QSCC, or making themselves known in general. If you do not want to be the 'token' at the QSCC, I highly reccommend the Well. As Davey said, they hold bi-weekly trans support group meetings.

However I hope you do come in, we have a number of resources that you may find helpful and we love meeting new people. :)

be like 'yo you owe me mah porn'

then just shyly slip away.

---

I just don't think people will take me seriously; just some guy trying to get into girls pants by saying he's a dyke.
pshaw but I'm not a 'he' so
anyway, I just feel a bit invalidated over it all

Aren't there, though, something like, 27000 people at Mac? Or am I getting totally the wrong numbers?

It's just that I don't want to be the token x or y or whatever.
Or, well, at least, take out a Y and put an X back :P

Hi girls and boys,
I'm the editor of andy, the Silhouette's art and culture section and we're trying to put together a pride issue for next Thursday. If anyone has any ideas for articles they want to write related to queer art and culture, please please email me at andy@thesil.ca, subject line "pride."
What I'd really like is some reviews of current books, films, graphic novels, television shows that are relevant. Also website reviews, which are just two or three sentences.
Feel free to come by the office (MUSCB110) and discuss your ideas with me, or drop me an email and we can work a story idea out through there. I'd love to hear from you!
Thanks
Grace

That reminds me... Years ago when I first told one of my friends that I thought I might be bi, she decided she was going to buy me a Maxim magazine for my 18th birthday. I still haven't gotten it XD
