  1. Welco Lumber Corp. is looking for a dynamic individual that can join our Floor Coverings department for the role of Administrative assistant. Welco Lumber Corp. is a multi levelled lumber wholesale and distribution company based in Vancouver; our flooring program represents the exclusive distribution of two high end flooring lines into Western North America, the program is exciting and growing in all markets. This candidate would report directly to the Flooring Manager. Key roles:Sale and service - work directly with customers, suppliers and our 9 sales agents Order entry, Customer returns, Price list creation/maintenance; Purchase orders from suppliers; Shipping – all inbound and outbound, maintaining monthly newsletters, Reporting for monthly budgets, inventory consolidation, sales commissions, Marketing, advertising and design The candidate would oversee all areas of the flooring program including inventory, inventory controls, would help design and implement systems for running the flooring program, and work with both customer and our sales reps on a daily basis. This person must be very organised, creative, detail oriented, have good computer skills, be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude. This is an established flooring program in a growth phase; we are looking for a candidate that wants to grow with our program. Salary – about $3100/mth plus benefits with growth based on abilities and contribution.

Furthermore my experience as a field hockey captain at the University level and then later as a player in the national team, has instilled in me a great level of enthusiasm, patience and team-work skills that I infuse into my career.
